STUDENT MEMBER

The Profile:

Designed for undergraduates and students in tertiary institutions (Nigeria & Diaspora). This is the entry-level track for young professionals aspiring to build a career in the digital ecosystem.

The Pathway:

Admission is competency-based. Candidates must enroll in the Foundation Course in Cybersecurity & Digital Safety, a structured 2–3 week self-paced programme.

  • The Outcome: Successful candidates receive the Certificate of Completion and formal admission as Student Members.

AFFILIATE MEMBER

The Profile:

For professionals holding OND/NCE (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of work experience in any field. This tier is ideal for those seeking to transition into IT support, digital administration, or technology operations.

The Pathway:

Candidates undergo a mandatory 3-Month Intermediate Course in Cybersecurity & IT Operations (Available Online).

  • The Outcome: Upon passing the assessment, members are inducted and awarded the Diploma in Cybersecurity & IT Operations.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER

The Profile:

Open to HND/B.Sc/B.A graduates and NYSC Corps Members with 1–5 years of professional experience in any sector. This is the standard grade for practicing professionals advancing in ICT governance and digital transformation.

The Pathway:

Applicants must complete the 2-Month Professional Course in Cybersecurity & Digital Transformation, followed by a Professional Certification Exam.

  • The Outcome: Successful participants are admitted as Associate Members and awarded the Professional Certificate.

FULL MEMBER (MCI)

The Profile:

An exclusive category for Mid-to-Senior Professionals (6–10 years experience) who have demonstrated leadership in technology, risk management, or strategy. Eligibility extends to holders of Postgraduate degrees (M.Sc, MBA, PhD) and recognized professional certifications.

The Pathway:

Admission is by rigorous vetting.

  • Review of Credentials & Interactive Professional Interview.
  • Approval by the CYSEC Board.
  • Formal induction as a Full Member with the designation MCIMT (Member, CYSEC Institute).
  • The Outcome: Successful participants are admitted as Associate Members and awarded the Professional Certificate.

FELLOW (FCI)

The Profile:

The highest professional grade, reserved for Senior Executives and Industry Experts (10+ Years). This includes Honorary, Research, Professional, and Doctoral Fellows who have made significant contributions to policy, innovation, or national safety.

The Pathway:

Fellowship is conferred strictly by the approval of the Governing Council.

  • The Outcome: Investiture during the Executive Fellowship Workshop & Induction Ceremony, granting the title FCIMT (Fellow, CYSEC Institute).

CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP

We invite organizations to join the Institute to enhance their cybersecurity posture and staff capacity. This category is open to Financial Institutions, MDAs, NGOs, Tech Firms, and Educational Institutions.
